Listed by Arrondissement
1st Arrondissement
Hotel Regina $$$$
Wonderful location opposite the Louvre Museum and Tuilleries Garden. Conveniently close to Place Vendomme and Place de la Concorde
Subtle Art Nouveau decor is wonderfully preserved from its founding for the 1900 Universal Exposition.
Its old school British-style lobby bar is one of our favorites.
Relais du Louvre $$$
A charming boutique hotel just a block from the Louvre.
Traditional decor and helpful staff.
A comparative value in the expensive 1st Arrondissement
2nd Arrondissement
Intercontinental LE GRAND Hotel $$$$
Located next door to the Paris Opera House (Actually located in 9th Arrondissement, but it is on the border of the 2nd Arr. and we think of it as such).
Our favorite Right Bank Hotel. Elegant public rooms, swanky lobby bar, and its restaurant, Cafe de la Paix, is a registered historic landmark. Recently voted among the top 10 best hotels in Paris by Conde Nast.
Hotel Westminster $$$$
Marvelous location just a block from Place Vendome (And around the corner from Harry's New York Bar).
The hotel takes its name from the Duke of Westminster who was a frequent guest in the early 1900's
Recently refurbished, and new bathrooms.
We are frequent visitors to its small elegant English-style lobby bar, DUKES BAR when Bar Hemingway at the Ritz is closed.
Hotel Stendhal $$$
This jewelbox size boutique hotel's strategic location makes it a perfect spot from which to explore Place Vendome, the Opera and Grands Magasins, as well as the Louvre and Tuilleries Garden.
Keep an eye out for occasional bargain rates.

4th Arrondissement
Pavillon de la Reine $$$$
Arguably the finest lodgings in the Marais.
Located on beautiful Place des Vosges.
Old world charm and elegance
Hotel Caron de Beaumarchaise $$$
Good location on one of the Marais' main streets.Â
DECOR is cute, romantic, old world - Lots of fowers and antiques.
5th Arrondissement
Hotel Maison Colbert $$$$
An 5* star boutique hotel in a romantic Latin Quarter location, directly across the river from Notre Dame.
A recent rennovation gives this 500 year old buiding a modern upscale interior. Definitely the nicest boutique hotel in this part of the Latin Quarter, which is reflected in its prices.
NOTE: Rooms are on the small side, like most hotels on the Left Bank. You'll need to book one of the higher category rooms for some roominess but the smaller rooms have a charm that is typically Parisian.
6th Arrondissement
Hotel D'Aubusson $$$$
One of the top boutique hotels on the Left Bank. A 17th-cetntury structure modernized with an elegant beamed-ceiling lounge, comfortable rooms, an intimate bar and a jazz club in the lobby
One block from the River and the Pont Neuf, and a few minutes' walk to heart of Saint Germain des Pres.
Relais Christine $$$$
After a major rennovation a few years ago, this former convent has eased out Hotel D'Aubusson as the top Boutique Hotel on the Left Bank (In our opinion).
Located just down the street from the D'Aubusson, it enjoys the same great location, one block from the River and the Pont Neuf, and a few minutes' walk to heart of Saint Germain des Pres. Romantic, intimate, classy, and in high demand.
Hotel Madison $$$
A fabulous location in the shadow of the church of Saint German des Pres. The Madison is our GO-TO hotel when hosting groups on the Left Bank. Close to banks & METRO Stops, and dead center in all that's happenng in the 6th Arrondissement. Modern tasteful decor, good breakfast, and an extremely helpful staff
While prices have risen in recent years (As they have all over Paris), the price/value equation is hard to beat.
Millesime Hotel $$$
On the quiet & historic street, rue Jacob, a stone's throw from the epicenter of all Saint Germain des Pres's action.
The Millesime ges consistantly high marks for quality of accomodation, and helpful staff.
We have enojoyed their hospitality on several occasions.
Hotel de Buci $$$
On the Rue de Buci, the epicenter of St Germain's street life. Cafes, bistros and wine bars abound.
Walking distance to all that the 6th Arrondissement has to offer.
Caveat: the rooms here are generally SMALL. Book the largest category to be comfortable.
7th Arrondissement
Hotel Duc de Saint Simon $$$
I almost hate to share this gem of a boutique hotel. (We'd prefer to keep it our secret).
Charming, romantic, well appointed with antiques throughout. A beautiful vaulted Breakfast Room in the cellar and a cozy coutyard terrace in front. Close to a METRO stop and near the wonderful Rue de Bac neighborhood.
